My China Bombs Lasted

The Towmaster tires that came on my 19 foot Bullet Premier held up for 11,898 miles. A fellow RVer said they went about 5K more than they should have, I don't know, but I was 14 miles outside of Elk City Oklahoma on the way home from the Grand Canyon when the rear door side tire went.

I was only going about 55 (I tried to keep my speeds at 60 and below) on I-40 east when it happened, and could only get replacement tires known as "Gladiators" (manufactured under the Goodyear tire and rubber I think) anyway, you ain't got much choice when you're out of town sometimes on what you can get.

Anyone use this brand tire? If so how's the reliability so far.

A friend tells me all trailer tires are made over seas, and that the betters brands are spot checked to keep quality in check at the factories, don't know how true that really is but it sounds impressive

Anyway, the new tires got me back to Va Bch, Va. without a hitch, only had to replace the strap that holds the plastic tire skirt in place as it snapped that in half and broke the bottom of the plastic where the screw screws into the strapping. Easy enough fix
