I don't remember what the skids weighed, they weren't light. We had company engineers review the lift plan and they may have upped the requirements. That is usually not the place we worried about costs. Actually there wasn't much worry about budget at all.

You can see these compressor stations on Google maps satellite view. Next to Hwy 83 on the west side. Shell sold to Sanchez Oil and Gas. Just Google: George Strait ranch. We were across Hwy 83 due west; Harrison Piloncillo Ranch. George has a little ranch. You can see the palm trees leading to his house and his airstrip. Most of the substantial ranches have their own airport. These are mostly hunting ranches, cattle production is secondary I think. All the little white squares on Google are oil and gas well sites.
