Since you will be parking under trees at many RV parks, consider a tripod so you will be able to locate your dish where it has a clear view of the southern sky. Also keep in mind that the dish must be oriented somewhat to the southern sky to acquire a satellite. Perhaps fancier dishes don't have that characteristic such as the ones that can stay on a bird while moving down the road?
