That is a good question. Don’t know why it will not stay connected. Maybe someone can answer that. I would say 80% of the time I can not roll my awnings up without entering my passcode at least two or three times. The other 20% it works fine. Not really a big deal just a pain. With today’s technology I would have assumed it to work better
