Just took a trip to Myrtle Beach and back over 3km. We looked for truck stops and used them if available. Only used a regular gas station once going down and that called for some close maneuvers around cars and gas pumps. We had no issues using truck stops. We did carry some spare fuel just in case and needed to use it once during the two week trip.
