Here's my best guess:

I know for sure the coax next to,the 12V socket is the coax out to the TV.
Is the "IN" port on the outside a single hook up for both cable and sat?

If it is then most likely the loop needs to be in place for the park cable signal to reach the booster/splitter. The loop needs to be taken out and one port is the Sat signal that need to go to the sat reciever. Then you take the coax off the port by the socket and use it for the signal from the reciever to the TV.

I don't have that set up and haven't had to work on anything with that setup so I'm not that familiarity it.
