Why would you not want vehicles that have just as much power, or more, and are much, much more reliable?

where'd you come up with electric vehicles lasting longer than combustion engine vehicles? There's an extremely short list for comparison when it comes to electric vehicles. Furthermore, most combustion engines out last the rest of the vehicle now days.
