you always have gas...provided you refill the empty tank:-)
I do this. Just is annoying when one runs out over night and I have to make coffee in the morning, and have to go outside first to switch tanks.

I could get an autoswitch, but I'd be worried I'd blank on checking the tanks and only to find out it had switched and now I'm completely out.
