We passed several truck stops Friday and yesterday on our trip south. In Ohio, prices ranged from $5.79 to $6.89 per gallon. West Virginia was about $5.59 a gallon, Virginia was 5.49 and it looks to be around the same in North Carolina, at least around Mt Airy. We were solo coming down as we left the trailer here for the recent trek home. We averaged around 21 MPG. I don't look forward to the return home, we'll be towing, so around half that MPG and less chance of bypassing the expensive fueling locations as well as the "predicted diesel shortages" that we hear about every evening on the local news.....
