However you need metal stems because they weigh more and put more stress on the stems when tires are spinning.
I have just the caps, easy enough to take off to refill, and to leave off, if I think theft might be a issue until I am towing again....only takes a minute to reinstall, and I still need to check each tire before pulling anyway.
Nice feature for sure, just not sure if I really needed it.
