Merln B is correct about turning off the EMS when using an Invertor/generator. There is no reason to use the EMS unless you are plugged into shore power. The EMS is to protect against improper or defective wiring from shore power.
So turn off the EMS when using the generator but make sure it is back on when you plug into shore power.
