Try turning the light off with your remote control (or "InCommand" system). Most (almost all) trailers with remote control systems are wired so that if a function is activated with the remote, it will not deactivate with the manual switches. This is a "design feature" to prevent someone from damaging their system by using "remote and manual" switches at the same time.
