Slide Suggestion

Yes, I would take it to a qualified RV specialist and see if it is an adjustment or part to be replaced. Using leverage may work on a temporary basis, BUT, that thing is going to fail you when you are most tired, furthest from home, place with no specialists available and the slide will be in either a locked out position or locked crooked in a rain storm of unbelievable magnitude and leaking like crazy.

Do yourself a favor and have it fixed correctly now and avoid the inevitable horror story that's coming your way.

Camping is more fun when the family is HAPPY.

Trust me, been there, done that! My RV has a rear BR master slide. Was stuck IN and door inside was closed. Seemed like my entire life was locked in that room and I needed it NOW. Fortunately for me a qualified tech was driving through the rv resort servicing another client. I QUICKLY became his next customer. 30 minutes and $80 and my life was restored. My coroplast now has a trap door by the slide motor AND I was shown HOW to put a wrench on the bolt to start it in the event it ever happened again. Of course, now that all of the precautions are in place, it will likely never fail again....I hope.
