Welcome to the forums and hope you have good success with that Springdale. We had a Springdale for 8 years (2 campers ago), and never hand an ounce of problems with it. Of course it was new when we bought it. I kept wheel bearings packed annually and monitored the roof carefully and recalked when needed and did a lot of pre-emptive maintenance on it. The only disappointing thing that happened was, the shower surround cracked one winter when the outside temps got down to -20F. Other than that, she was a good camper, but also a LOT Of work to keep her that way.

We traded after 8 years because the floor plan did not work for us any more. It just didn't.

RV's, no matter when you get them or how old they are, are an item that takes constant, vigilant maintenance and repair to keep them in good working order. It never stops.

Good luck with your fixes. You've come to the right place with your questions.
