Questions about legal/illegal. Oregon put a law in the vehicle code before 1987 and at last look it was still there making removing any anti pollution device a crime, (unclassified misdemeanor) today has 6500 fine. If your a licensed auto dealer it is illegal to sell any vehicle that has any required parts removed and illegal to sell any vehicle with illegal parts. Yes some do and yes I have seen some cited and released for removing a CAT. So, if your removing anything that is said the be for emissions standards or anti pollution that meets the definition. Do not believe me, look it up yourself.
