When you come on to a forum and announce that you have been "towing for many moons" and at the same time exceed the speed rating of your OEM tires by driving at 75-80 mph in an attempt to avoid spending another day on the road, then you should expect to "raise a few eyebrows". Along with several others, I am puzzled by your comments that come from an experienced driver.

We are neither upset nor do we live in a bubble. We are, however, questioning the wisdom of why you would want to tow a TT at this excessive speed on OEM tires that have a reputation for blowouts and that are not rated for 75-80 mph. Do you know for certain that this "safety factor" will compensate for driving 10-15 mph beyond their rating for an extended period of time?

You can drive at any speed you choose but you shouldn't be offended by the comments of "the mothers on the forum" who think that being passed by a truck & TT which will "pass anything" and is doing just that at 75-80 mph is unsafe.
