Get a meter if you don't have one (you really need one to be carried in the RV) and determine the source of the power and how much it is etc. Very easy to do and might save you or your wife from a possible serious injury. Electricity will find the easiest path to ground. If you happen to be it (barefoot in a puddle of water) it could give you a real jolt. Start at the plug - make sure each leg is doing what it's supposed to do (120v/grd) and go from there; won't take 5 minutes. As was mentioned, a good surge protector finds these things for you (ped/plug wiring issues).
