just got home from camping on a 3 hour haul, i didn't feel like there were any issues. I have a brand new weight distribution hitch from the dealer. i averaged about 10mpg towing and it didn't seem to have any trouble. I have the 5.7 Laramie which has 10,100lbs towing capacity. My lease is up in May and I've heard good reviews on the new f150'S that have close to 12,000 lb capacity.
