I know nothing about Ford's, but with a half-ton you'll normally run out of payload first.
I'd think the tongue weight on that will be ~ 7760 * 12.5% = 970 plus 100 for the WDH and you'll use around 1100 lbs of your 1890, leaving 790 for folks, dogs, gear etc.
Seems doable to me.
Edit: Is the payload number off of the sticker on the door frame, or out of a brochure? Ignore the brochure and use the doorframe number, or scale it and compare to the GVWR.
