Keep in mind that the wire supplying the charge for your tow vehicle is SMALL. It will keep a battery up like a trickle charger but will take a long time to charge a depleted battery...if at all. For traveling to and from a campsite that is fine. If this is your plan while at a site, you'll burn a lot of gas with little return. Shore power or your Gen are better choices.
