Hi, I am new to this forum but we have been camping since 1969 mainly in pickup campers. We bought our 3rd unit in 1992, a 9.5 ft. Sunline, which we still have. Having gotten older and wanting more comfort, in 2008 we got a used Jayco which was too big for camping in a lot of the state parks. Traded the Jayco in 2010 for a new Cougar 276RLS that is the perfect size for us. Our tow vehicle is a 97 F250 7.3 liter PSD with a 5 speed shifter and the camper suspension. The surprising thing is that we get the same mileage whether we are using the pickup camper or the 5er.
