This must be the norm on these trailers. On our 5er, there is a little 'cubby hole' recessed into the headboard (our bed is oriented fore and aft). The 'cubby hole' and the wall below the mattress would get very cold with condensation where the mattress meets the wall. I removed the head board and the luan box that makes up the shelf. There wasn't any insulation in the nose cap of the trailer.
There is now. No more cold heads at night
