Our Cougar XLite 27RKS has a "published" pin weight of 1230. In actuality, when loaded for a trip, it's much closer to 1800 pounds. Then add 150 pounds for a fifth wheel hitch, two adults and a small cooler/toolbox/firewood (or other cargo) to the mix and you're looking at needing 2000 pounds plus to be "comfortable". There aren't very many half ton trucks that will give you the payload you need. We tow with an F250 diesel and we're "right at the limit". I wouldn't think you'll be satisfied with the performance and I know you won't be "under the numbers" with an F150.
