My best guess is the 'published' pin weight is much less than reality. Additionally, 5er storage is up in front of the axels. I'd give great odds, when ready to go the pin will be over 1750#. Can it be done?, of course and many are doing it. If you have P rated tires they have to go. Tires will need to be rated carry the weight. You may get close to your real axel weight rating as well. If you are going to be over payload the 5er may be less of a white knuckle tow than a TT.
Since you are thinking of trading the TV considering numbers then is also a great idea. I had a 2016 F250 that had a payload of 2427 because it was loaded including 4x4 and especially the 6.7 diesel. The motor alone adds about 500#. Often you can find an F350 for less than a F250 both new and used. Going F350 and you will be ready for your next 5er. Good luck with which ever decision you make.
