Most Cougar trailers only have one "scare light" that's OEM installed. It is on the front curbside, up near the top of the bedroom on the 327. If your trailer has 4 scare lights, they may have been installed by a previous owner and the switch or switches may have been wired "almost anywhere in the trailer" or even in the passthrough or front storage compartment.... I'd guess that with the difficulty to run wires up to the top of the stairs, any "aftermarket wiring" would probably be run to a different location.
