Before you start "swapping out parts" take a few minutes, disconnect the battery (completely) from the battery cables, plug in the trailer and using a volt meter, measure the voltage "AT THE BATTERY CABLE CLAMPS"... It should be 13.6 VDC. If it is, then the battery is suspect. If it's not 13.6VDC, then focus on the two fuses located on the converter (reverse polarity fuses) and then on the converter/wiring to the battery cables.

Chances are that the problem lies either with your battery, the cables or the reverse polarity fuses.
