When you exceed the max speed of the tire they heat up past their maximum design temp and explode. I would go with the new Goodyear endurance
Sorry, Maxxis has no tire speed information on their sidewalls. Without a speed rating on the ST tires sidewalls they revert to 65 MPH. All of the GY Endurance tires have a speed letter N=87 MPH.
