I ran Carlisle on my lighter 5ers for many years and many miles. I never had a problem. Endurance sounds good so far, we will know better in another 3 years. Not worth double in my opinion.
I do not trust GY. When Marathon came out they were good tires. Then they turned to junk. GY sold many tires to my builders knowing they were designed for local delivery vehicles and not over the road. The tires caused many accidents, injuries, and a few deaths.
On my heavy 5ers I run Sailun.
