Replacing refrigerator

Hi all, my Laredo 240MK has a 7 cu ft Dometic fridge installed. I have been looking at replacing it with a Magic Chef 10.1 cu ft compressor run fridge. The thing is that the install instructions for the Magic Chef says "not for installment in an RV not to be run with an inverter". I am wondering why. If it is installed in an RV it may likely be run with an inverter, BUT not all inverters are equal. The less expensive inverters are actually "square wave" units and most AC motors are not too happy about those. But there are "true sine wave" units out there. Since we never are on the road more than 3-4 hours it should be OK to install the Magic Chef and just not run it on the road.
Any input or thoughts on this will be greatly appreciated. Home Depot is the place I saw this, and they claim they sell a lot to RV'ers since it is bigger and only uses 140W running and the price is around $ 360.00 depending on sales.

Happy camping.
