Just look at the cord. If it goes straight from the tv to an outlet, it is 110AC. If the cord plugs into an adaptor that plugs into an outlet, then it is most likely 12V but needs 110AC to power the adapter. If the tv plugs into a "cigarette lighter" style plug, then it is 12V and should operate on battery power.
