Also put my knee right through the luan over the water pump housing while trying to make up the bed. On the lleft side of the bed, just in front of the laundry chute there is a boxed area that sticks out about 10 inches which makes it hard to make the bed. This boxed area is where the water lines come in and houses the water pump. The top is just luan with no support. Do not put you weight on it. I broke mine and replaced it with 3/8 birch plywood stained to match. Now I can put weight on it to make the bed.
