I can't (and wouldn't) suggest that 3 is "as good as 6" or 6 is "better than 3", as I simply have not ever used the Steadyfast system. Looking at the size of the bars and the mounts between the 2 I see why the SteadyFast just has 3. The locking mechanism for the SteadyFast is also very robust and simple, no tools required.
