2017 Outback 325BH HWH Questions

I'm new to Keystone but not new to TT's.
Here's my questions and or problems. The Suburban DSI water heater is located in the bedroom adjacent to the pass thru compartment. A removable panel in the bedroom allows access to the water pump and just the side of the HWH but I can reach my hand to the inlet and outlet plumbing for the water heater. My problem: can't find any bypass valves. I'm use to the 3 valve system to bypass the water heater. I can't find or feel even one valve. There is a tube that goes up and down but no valve on that either. Once again I can only feel this plumbing and not see it.
Another problem is the access. It appears like inside the pass thru there is a small panel with 3 floor screws. Removed the screws and the panel does not budge. Anyone else have a similar floor plan with the water heater in the same location. I'm really baffled by the lack of bypass valves.
Thanks for any input
