Thanks for the reply. Well. I don't mind putting the time and effort in doing the work "once and for all"if it will solve the issue. But I don't want to carry any more weight than I really need to. This tank is close to the front of the trailer, and I've already got two 6 volt deep cycle batteries on the tongue.

Even the empty jugs take up space, and then there's the issue of filling them, and lifting them up to the gravity feed (or carrying my home-made 12v "pump bucket").

It just seems like this is a crappy design, and if they say the water capacity is 41 gallons, I should expect to get at least close to that, but not 25% less, AND the burden of carrying the extra weight.
