Not sure where you're located but here in the south (Florida) when things behind walls and such get wet, fixing the damage is one thing - identifying, preventing and eliminating mold, especially black mold is a MAJOR concern. You do not want them to seal up your unit and seal in any potential of black mold - really nasty, nasty stuff that you don't want to breathe.
