That's all that is, is paper work, if you make changes on the reg, they still go by the sticker on the truck. I have a 3500 DRW with a GVW of 13k, but on my reg I have it as #12,500 so I can run combo plates and not commercial. It doesn't impact the truck at all for towing and won't impact me when I trade it because the truck is still #13,500 on the door sticker, that's never changed and never will
