Anyone ever run into this...

At CG and flames came from electric power box/pole at camp site. Burned plug of surge protector....EMS PT30.

Its hot here st Myrtle beach...air conditioning is constantly running.

What's strange is power was still being fed to the TT(Cougar 29REV). Grabbed electric cord and yanked...surge protector fell out pretty easily and outlest continued to flame and smolder.
Ranger came by and shut down breaker and took cover off the box. No wires melted ogher than right at the outlet. Outlet totally melted/destroyed.

Headed to Walmart to get heavy duty extension cord...if they have one in the RV dept. Maybe also another surge protector.

Am concerned that even if they replace the outlet...and we are sleeping...

Any insight would be appreciated.
