You forgot; short bed = FAR easier parking in a parking lot and...
the better pricing quote on short beds.....for "city folk". Live a LONG way from a city and have all my life and, live in the country that is full of ONLY working folks (farming/ranching/oilfield). Shortbeds outnumber longbeds by 3 to 1 (guestimate). Some job specific duties require a long bed but there just aren't that many out here "in the country working world".
