I you have a ohm/volt meter check the center pin of connector to the shield. You may have a short. I had the same issue and found when they stapled my ceiling panels they put one right thru the came shorting the center lead to the shield. Rather than tear out the ceiling to locate and replace the cable I installed a thru wall coax plate behind my TV to the outside.
