Ok finally got some time to start this project. Dinette removed. Both sofa sleepers in the living area. Started building the bunk. I used 1x12 quality stainable boards and made a 72" x 33" frame and then had a sheet of quality MDF cut to the same size then attached it with hinges. This allows me to lift the matress and use all the area underneath for storage. I have the from 1 x 12 board off and I am in the process of staining it tonight. Hopefully it will look pretty nice when I am done!

So far I love the new look and it works for our family needs. I will post some pics up when I get the front stained and the matress installed.
