I would consider smaller if u don't plan to upgrade, we just did what you are planning to do ( not the same truck or trailer but the same situation basically , it towed but not a comfortable situation ) and we had to upgrade or be nervous and uncomfortable when traveling. Bigger is inviting but it has it's issues.... Love our smaller camper (19 Hideout FLB) for me and my wife. My grand kids (2) can fit fine also. Good luck deciding.
