That looks like a decent fix but not really easily done with pretty much hidden plumbing on many of our RVs. It is something to consider. But, since we have a 10 gallon HW heater just leave the shower head partially on high dribble. Yep, it does waste some water but we very seldom camp without at least a water and electricity hookup. The amount of water wasted per person might be a quart or two and in the grand scheme - wont overfill that bathroom 50 gallon gray tank in a couple days.
