Not to derail this - but Marshall did you ever make it down here for a Shuttle launch? What a thrill to watch! Beach night launches were cool but to stand at the clock in the grass at the launch area only 3 miles off and watch her fly was spectacular! Miss those shuttles.

No unfortunately, we have friends that liven utside Orlando but every time we went down the launch delays were too long for us to stay. Of course now that I'm retired and have the time...... No launches. 
I've seen a few near Wallops Island VA but they don't compare.
