On my 2015 - generally towing 90% of the time, about every 1200-1400 or so miles it will issue the first warning. Typically it will take about 3 gallons to top off which I do at the bulk dispenser at the T/A or Loves. I wish that GM had installed a real gauge rather than idiot messages.
