Do you think Ford hooked up a fifth wheel and check how far they could go?

IIRC that 300 miles is empty, they don't get have specs for towing mileages or payload numbers.
My neighbor has the Mustang Mach E ordered due to arrive in a couple weeks? (it's already been over 10 weeks) that he paid for the 300 mile option. They stated that is under perfect conditions, level terrain, no heating/cooling & at a steady speed. Apparently they said that during braking it gives a small charge to the batteries, I'd guess somehow from the heat generated.
One hour of charging on a household 110 outlet nets 3 miles of travel, 36 miles for 12 hour charge. Charging at 220 volts doubles the charging = 72 miles in 12 hours. BUT if you buy their rapid charger kit for $800+ you can get full charge in a few hours.
We recently bought a new Kia Sorento 2.0l turbo which gets 30+ mpg with 17.7 gallon tank which 400-500 miles that can be refilled in about 3 minutes & gone. But while at the dealership they had 8-10 used Tesla's that folks apparently traded for a Kia.
I honestly think the EV craze will come & go like the Edsel, DeLorean, Kaiser & apparently Lordstown motors. Not to mention for all the tree hugger types out there with those that may be around long enough to need a battery replacement, what do they do with that dead battery?
