We didn't need A/C with the cool rainy weather. We have a residential refrigerator so I have to keep the batteries well charged. I usually started both gens in the morning and ran them both 2-3 hours and then just one until about 9 pm. Worked well.
This ^^^ Have been using a pair of champion 2000W with the parallel kit with a 50amp plug. Works great. Also, in the spring/fall when I don't need AC I only use 1, and they are only around 50-60lbs.
