I this year got an open Genkins, frame inverter of 4500 starting watts and 4000 continuous delivered from Walmart online for $475.00 delivered. It is 86 pounds with fuel I believe. I have put a Tiny Tach hr meter on it and have acquired 17 hrs on it camping so far.

The open frame is lighter and less expensive and yes, slightly noisier than the encloser inverters.
