As for 2 15K vs one 15K and one 13.5 it would depend on a few conditions. Where are you doing your "typical" camping, i.e. plan for the norm not the exception. The requirements for camping in the south or south west are different than north of the Mason Dixon line.

Onother consideration is the size of the camper as well as how you use it. So if the DW just has to bake cookies for the grankids thay are popping in and out of the door is different than a couple that primarily stays put.

With air conditioning bigger isn't necessarily better. An excessivly over sized unit will "short cycle" meaning it will draw down the temp too rapidly and won't remove enough of the humidity. The result is a cold an clamy feeling that's uncomfortable. For the trailers that the bedroom unit isn't ducted then in effect you're conditioning just the room as the air will not sufficiently circulate to effeciantly cool the whole rig.
