I had a broken frame on our rig repaired five years ago and didn't have to disconnect anything. The welding was at the pin box area and also in front of the drivers side propane cylinder where the frame broke. The welder/mobile RV repair guy had the ground cable connected close to where he was welding. The third photo where the weld that is circled is where the frame was completely broken in two. That is the heavy beam that goes from one side to the other and transfers the load from the frame where the pin box is to the vertical frame that goes down the the main frame. I'm not sure how we got to the park where I saw the damage without the trailer having more damage than that. He welded cracks around the pin box area just because we had the Filon dropped down and saw some cracked welds.
