F-550 or F-650 is the best way to go. If you can find a older one with the 7.3 it is the best. The 6.6 is good enough to do whatever you want. Put a flat bed on and tool boxes on the sides and go...

Ford; I have 3 diesel's , F250, Gets 18 mpg with 18,000 lb gooseneck load. F550 9 mpg with 45,000 lb load, 10 ton dump gets 5mph loaded with gravel.

F 550

F 550 is overkill but can pull everything I have including my construction equipment. Mine is a 4 door with plenty of room.
